A Trip To Paris Through The Channel Tunnel

I do not like to spend a lot of time travelling and to be perfectly honest when I do get annual leave from work I would prefer to just spend it doing up the house or working in the garden. But for my wife, travelling abroad for a tan is the whole point of having annual leave; she really does love getting away whenever she gets the chance. But we normally only get to holiday abroad every couple of years as we just dont have the money to get away every single year. It was our twentieth anniversary this year and I decided to treat the wife to a surprise weekend away. And because our son has just started university recently and has left home, she has been a bit down in the dumps. My plan was to take her somewhere in the UK like Wales or Scotland but then I came across an ad for the Channel Tunnel.

And although I was already aware of the Channel Tunnel, I am part of the minority of people from England who actually havent been in it yet. And for us to get from our home in Bromley right across to Paris it would only take us a few hours to drive all the way. I knew that this would be something that would thrill the wife and I actually quite fancied the idea of taking my car under the sea. And when I found out that driving from Folkestone to Calais would only take just over thirty minutes I was even more surprised.

On the weekend of our anniversary I took my wife to France. It was really exciting to head across via the Channel Tunnel. My wife had a great time in Paris and to my surprise, so did I. The continent really seems so close with the tunnel so this is one of the best things about it. Going to Paris is as easy for me as travelling to Liverpool. And the price was actually quite affordable. We are planning a much longer trip around Europe with the car next year.

City breaks Europe style are extremely popular today. France hotels are top-notch when it comes to thinking about city breaks in Europe. A lot of these are pet friendly hotels as well. City breaks are ideal for that special weekend away.
