Choosing your bridal gown should be a fun and memorable experience, it can also be challenging as there is so many different dresses to choose from
Below are a few things to think about before deciding on your wedding gown
Dont try on dresses that are out of your price bracket There is no point in trying on dresses that are too expensive By allocating a budget will narrow down your search. Dont let the sales consultant pressure you into buying a dress that is out of your budget.
Book appointments with a selection of wedding dress shops close to you to ensure you will be trying on lots of different styles of dresses. Try on as many wedding gowns as you can. You will be surprised what flatters you.
Bring a couple of good friends along with you (your mum and your bridesmaid) Its good to have someone elses opinion.
It is best to arrange your appointment with the wedding dress shop Monday to Friday. as it will be quieter.
Ask your sales consultant which wedding gowns would flatter your figure the most, for example halterneck styles flatter someone with a larger bust and empire waistlines disguise large hips. Ask about underwear options too.

Check that the wedding dress shop carry out alterations and if they do how long it will take also find out how many fitting appointments you will have to attend. Remember you will need to have the correct bridal underwear and wedding shoes at these appointments.
Make sure that your choice of wedding dress will be comfortable and that you are able to walk, dance, sit and eat.
Browse through wedding magazines and attend wedding fayres so you can be kept up to date on the latest wedding fashion.
Now a days many wedding dress designers make more affordable wedding gowns, such as Alfred Angelo. Take a look at high street stores too.
Be open minded and try on wedding gowns that you wouldnt normally try, dresses usually look better on.
