You can reach Alcatraz by taking a ferry. Now it depends upon you, if you want to take a 2 to 3 hours tour or a night tour, depending upon you curiosity and budget. This is a great place if you really want to enjoy the taste of various cuisines of San Francisco and want to buy some cheap souvenirs for your loved ones back home. It’s nothing new that a tourist takes a touch of his visits back home by taking pictures, buying clothes and souvenirs which can be kept as memory or given to loved ones as gifts.
